Bases of the Tournament (Summary)
The tournament will be played using the Swiss System over 9 rounds, from August 24th to August 31st, 2024. The games start at 17:00 hours, except for rounds 2 and 9, which start at 9:30 hours. The closing ceremony will commence on August 31st, 2024, at 14:00 hours.
In the playing halls, the analysis of games is not allowed, and the use or possession of any electronic devices is prohibited.
Participants will be divided into two groups: the first for players with a FIDE ELO rating higher than 1900 points, and the second for the remaining players.

Pace of play and Absences
The rhythm of the game will be ninety minutes plus thirty seconds of added time per move (Fischer System). The pairings and tiebreakers will be made with the computer programSwiss Manager. A thirty minute margin is established for the presentation of each player in the game, counting from the official start time of each round.
Applicationbye and tiebreakers
Each player has the possibility of analyzing twobye during the tournament, which will add half a point as long as they are requested and used before the sixth round.
The following tie-break systems will be applied: a) Recursive performance b) Bucholtz minus the 2 worst results c) Number of victories

The tournament is governed by the FIDE Laws of Chess for this type of tournament. Faced with situations not contemplated therein, the arbitral resolutions ratified by the main arbitrator prevail.
